The Dress

The most amazing Claire Pettibone gown. Romantic, intricately detailed gown with a nod to the gilded age and Bridgerton style dresses! And I must admit that I’m head over heels over the dress and even though our venue has changed and it no longer fits the theme, I tried to invent reasons to keep this dress.

The gown is opulent with with silk lining that feels amazing on the skin, with decadent details and gold dipped lace. The small train is adorned with very fine silvery sequins. It shows up beautifully in person and I would imagine it would also do so in photos. Depending on lighting it picks up silver or gold lace tones, giving it a huge range to look absolutely stunning. Major swoon!

I am a true size 8 in US clothing and it fits great without any alterations. Had I kept it, I was thinking about taking it in to add cups and boning on the sides to add a tad of structure. It can also be easily altered down to size 4 or 6.

Some hard facts:
The dress has side zipper closure.
It is a sample purchased in May of 2021 at a salon local to me. Never been altered or worn.
It is in perfect condition with no wear beyond being tried on in the store.
It would not require any cleaning.
