The Dress

This wedding dress was custom-made for me by Chris Benz because I had the pleasure of meeting the designer at one of his fashion shows in Charleston, SC. I fell in love with one of his dress designs that season and asked if he would be able to create it as a wedding dress and he kindly agreed. Chris Benz is one of the nicest and most talented designers you will ever meet. The dress was made in his NYC studio and we flew to NYC to have the fittings and ultimately bring it home.

While wearing this dress you feel as if you are in your most comfortable outfit. The silk is the finest made and the lining is the softest silk you can find. The dress is durable for a night of dancing and entertaining. One really cool feature is the pockets! I loved the pockets just for convenience and a place to put my hands during long conversations at the reception. The taffeta at the bottom is also just as soft as the silk and gives the dress extra oomph at the bottom as well as making it stand out.

The dress made me feel beautiful, fancy, elegant, and like I just walked off the runway at NY Fashion Week. All the guests loved the dress and its uniqueness. (I thought about having it shortened and dyed to wear to a cocktail party simply because it is one of a kind and it's just that comfortable.)

There is minimal wear on the taffeta only at the bottom from walking on the cobblestone streets of Charleston, SC for pictures.
