The Dress

This unique Ted Baker design pairs a modern, crepe bodice with an ethereal, blossom embroidered skirt. The back has been professionally altered to a stunning v-back to create a bespoke look. It also has been altered to include bra cups which can be easily removed or replaced. It also has very handy pockets, which were great on the wedding day.

I chose this dress for the striking modern, simplicity of the top combined with the beautiful detail on the skirt. It really stood out compared to other bridal dresses to me -- most of which are embellished either on the top or all over -- this is the opposite. The simplicity of the top really focuses attention you, while the skirt adds beautiful detail and movement. On our wedding day our guests gushed how they hadn't seen a dress quite like it before.

The dress has only been worn once, at our wedding in October 2019. It was professionally dry-cleaned and has hung in my closet for the past year. Only selling now to free up space. Will ship in the original Ted Baker garment bag plus a large box for storing flat.

It's tagged a Ted Baker size 4 - but has been altered to measurements of: bust: 39", waist: 30", hip: 39" and a height of circa 5'7" (I'm 5'4" and wore 3.5 inch heels on the day).

Alterations

Dress was altered to create a custom v-back, as well as to fit waist measurements. Done by a professional seamstress in London (was £450 for alterations due to the v-back on top of the dress price of £999, so total dress cost was £1,449)
