The Dress

Original price was just shy of $5,000, and I spent an extra $1,000 on alterations because of all the lace detail.

I wore this dress as my first dress for pictures and then our ceremony, but I changed into a second dress for the reception to preserve it. This dress got me so many compliments, and I'm honestly still in love with it 6 months later. I wish there was another reason to wear it!

It's a bridal size 14 but a street size 6. It was tailored quite a bit to fit my measurements. I am 5'5" tall and wore 3inch heels. I was about 132lbs, 32DD, 27.5in waist, 32in belly, and 38in hips when I wore it. Now, I'm about 138lbs, 34-35 D bust, 28.25in waist, 33.25in belly, and 38in hips... the dress still fit but more snug than when I wore it on my wedding day. It can be let out only about 1/2 inch along the sides. There are pads in the chest area that could be removed but really helped the girls stay perky.

I had a lining put on the inside to cover the opening at the hips to meet the lining at the waist. The lace dipped down too far and would have been see-through where my underwear (and spanx) were.

The train is very long. There is a loop to put around your wrist, but I did not get it bustled because it would have just been too much poof in the butt area.

I had it dry cleaned and it looks fantastic, pretty much brand new without a speck of dirt on it. I have more pictures of it after it was dry cleaned if you're interested!
