The Dress

Strapless alencon sweetheart, silk dupion pleated cummerbund accented with silk flower and feather, circular cut lace tea length skirt. Buttons over back zipper.

This stunning dress was originally purchased off the rack from Brides of Manuka in Canberra early to mid 2015 for a Feb 2016 wedding. The fourth photo is a photo of the lovely original owner at her wedding (used with permission).

Dress was subsequently purchased in May 2018 for my June 2018 wedding.

As you can see from the photos, due to my (and the previous owner's) lack of height, dress was more ankle length on each of us.

This absolutely beautiful dress does come with a silk & feather rose that can be pinned to the waist if you choose however the original bride opted to instead purchased a lovely sash/belt and had it professionally attached to the left side of the silk waist cummerbund which was kept. The original owner had capped sleeves added. I removed these, but kept them should you wish to re-attach.

The dress also has the facility to add shoestring straps unfortunately the straps the original owner received from the bridal store are not the correct ones but they could be modified to adapt if required.

Please note: when dress was originally purchased the size label had been removed so I am unsure of its true label size but my approximate measurements at the time of my wedding were:

Bust 93cm
Waist 76cm
Hips 107cm

Dress has been dry cleaned by enviro-friendly no-chemical drycleaner and stored in a garment bag.
