The Dress

Dress overview: Vintage, modern, romantic and sweet, the Babushka Ballerina Josephine gown features a structured sweetheart bodice under a high neck lace top while incorporating a delicate cap sleeve, an open V-style back with a flattering silk waistband and a full soft silk chiffon skirt with train.

This beautiful gown was my dream dress and was purchased on Still White. However due to a change of plans, we decided to elope so I ended up wearing a different dress.

This dress was professionally dry cleaned by the original bride, and has been hanging in a bag since I purchased it.

I’m not sure what size the cups are, however a rough measurement would be 86cm (I’m an A and they were too big for me, so they are possibly a B or C). I was going to get them replaced with smaller ones but didn't get a chance. The bodice is separate from the lace (only attached by a tiny thread) so it's possible to have the front of the bodice reworked to fit without doing any damage to the lace.

I did not do any alterations; all information below is from the original bride:

- Sweetheart neckline with boat neck lace overlay and attached silk chiffon skirt with small train
- Beautiful lace cap sleeves and lace V back
- Dress hemmed to 175cm including heels. I am 165cm and wore 4 inch (10cm) heels and the gown just barely touches the floor and still covers my heels. I also changed into flats later on in the day and danced away the night with no problems (with dress bustled)
- Waist taken in to 25 inch waist
- Cups added to bust. I still wore a strapless bra on the day for extra support and volume which was not visible in the V back
- Bustle added.
