The Dress

Newly made, collected and worn once only during the ceremony of my wedding in September 2018. Purchased new for 9525 pounds plus 1000 pounds in alterations. In excellent condition.

A stunning ivory dress, heavily beaded with exquisite delicate lace fabric and beautiful train fitted with ribbon loop to hold when walking, long elegant sleeves, plunging neck line and invisible nude mesh across the chest as well as a low back. Both classy and sexy! Definitely has that WOW factor. Very comfortable on the day and once altered will fit like a glove. You will be a stand out bride in this flock with so many compliments. Wish I could keep it but have to get some money back from this pricey designer dress. Once you try on a Berta you cannot go back!

Sizing: To give you an idea - I am usually a size UK/AUS 8-10 in tops and size UK/AUS 10 in bottoms. In Ted Baker I am mostly a size 2 (UK10) but sometimes need to wear size 1 (UK8). Berta is a smaller make and while I did fit into a Berta size 40, I went up to a 42 to allow extra room over the hips. At the time of ordering the dress I was measured as below.
Bust 88cm, waist 71cm, hips 102cm and height 172cm.

Alterations

The dress comes from the manufacturer very long so the bottom was seamed up to reduce the length for my height. This can be easily taken out or taken up more if needed.
Padding for the bust was loosely stitched in to give me shape and curve. These can be removed.
The sleeves were originally very long. These were taken up at the shoulder to still hang delicately over the hand. This can be further shortened if needed.
I did need some taking in at the bust.
