The Dress

NEVER WORN. This is the gorgeous 'Chloe' wedding gown by Wendy Makin. Never before worn, this unique and stunning lightweight slip dress from Wendy Makin's Couture collection is crafted from an Oyster colour Italian silk underlay with a soft champagne net overlay detailed with beautiful white fabric flowers, intricate beading and delicate ostrich feather strands from midway down the dress. The dress is finished at the back with a beautiful Italian silk Champagne bow which scoops from the front sash below the bust to tie neatly at the lower back at approximately waist level. It is light, easy to wear and beautiful.

The Chloe dress can be described as vintage but with a modern twist and is perfect if you are creating a modern wedding with a unique feel while still trying to retain elements of elegance and tradition. It's light weight and understated elegance also makes it perfect for a beach wedding!

The dress also features delicate scalloped beading at the bottom of the overlay and matching flower & feather details line one side of the vneck neckline to create an asymmetric line drawing the eye down to the brooch and flower details.
When looking at the back of the dress, it really comes into its own. The dress has a low back without being too low, and the eye is quickly drawn from the soft champagne bow down to the beautiful flower and feather detailing and onto the subtly scalloped train. If you are worried about exposing skin during a daytime wedding, a plain veil with subtle crystal details around the edges will add that extra bit of coverage without hiding the stunning detail of the dress.

The dress is a halter neck, with the straps made from beautiful pearl beads and crystal spacers. This means you would only need a stunning pair of earrings and perhaps a hair piece to finish off the look on the day.

The dress already has been beautifully bustled on each layer (first the underlay, then the overlay separately) to keep the soft nature of the dress intact when bustled up during the reception.
The dress is a size 10 and is long enough for someone with a height of 165cm (5ft5) to wear 10cm (4inch) heels.

NB you can't wear a bra with this dress but the built in cups and halterneck provide good support. You can also sew additional cups or padded cups into the dress.

I didn't wear this dress due to a change of mind and instead I wore a very similar Wendy Makin dress in a different colour.
