The Dress

This is a stunning Haute Couture Danielle Dress by Liz Martinez.

Hand made in Israel in 2016 for a Chicago bride. From the 2015 collection, the dress was originally US$9,500 and was purchased from Dimitra's Bridal Boutique in Chicago.

The capped sleeves from the original design were not included in this piece.

Liz Martinez is one of the worlds best wedding dress designers with timeless lines and breathtaking pieces rivalling Berta and Pronovias, A classic fitted sheath silhouette it is the ultimate combination of style and sexy.

The multiple layer dress is floor length with a 1.5 metre train that can be pinned up into a bustle to easily walk, dance and sit without tripping over.

The nude lace bodice is very fitted (it has to be super tight because it gives as you wear it.)When i received the dress from the US I had it fitted to my measurements which included taking in the waist and shortening it a little. My dress makers were actually unhappy with how the bodice was constructed so they added extra hidden internal bones making it more supportive and stronger.

A beaded crystal belt was added to soften the join from the bodice to the dress. This will remain attached but can be removed.I didn't wear the veil but it will be included in the sale of the dress.

The dress was worn for a few hours and then I changed into another dress for the after party.
It was immediately and carefully dry cleaned and has been carefully stored hanging in it's Dimitra Bridal cover bag since then.

I loved wearing this dress. I felt sophisticated and sexy, I danced down the aisle and had so much fun. I would love this dress to bring as much joy to someone else as it brought to me.
It's a really special piece.

waist: 60 cm/ 23.5 inches
hips: 90 cm/ 36 inches
height: 161cm 5ft 3in
weight: 49kg 108 pounds
I wore heels maybe 3 inches high on the day I think.

Alterations

Padded cups removed from bodice
waist taken in and up
entire bodice reinforced, extra bones added, crystal belt added
bustle fixtures improved
