The Dress

I knew this was the wedding dress for me the moment i laid eyes on it. It was dreamy, ethereal, and delicate, and I couldn't look at another dress after that. This Marchesa Azalea Gown was from the Bridal Spring collection of 2016, and has 2 layers on fine lining (shell 1 - 100%, shell 2 - 60% rayon/30% cotton/10% polyester), 1 layer of embroidered weave, and a top layer of tulle that drapes over the embroidered shell. It was the beautiful tiny azalea flower appliqué and beads sewn unto the tulle that caught my eye, and i loved how the long train that was dusted so generously with the same appliqué.
This gown was extremely flattering, with longline boning and underwire cups that gave structure to the bodice,the embroidered weave layer hugged my hips in a mermaid silhouette, whilst the tulle with appliqué draped over in an A-line silhouette

Worn once-on my wedding day! It's been professionally cleaned and has been kept in acid free paper and a gown bag.

I could only find this dress in a size 6, but altered it down to a size 4, while preserving the unwanted fabric with the help of a very professional tailor (i.e the excess fabric wasn't cut away, and can be released back to a size 6). I had to hem the dress up (it was impossible to walk before that) but kept the train as long as possible. I am 5ft 4inch and wore 4 inch heels and the front of the dress brushed the ground lightly.

There is some shadowing on the inside seams of the bodice (the bra line) and there are 3 light spots near the hem on the inner lining of the dress. Rest assured that these are all not visible.
