The Dress

The iconic and breathtaking “Zenith” bridal gown by renowned British designer, Eliza Jane Howell.

Eliza Jane Howell gowns are all entirely hand-beaded and exquisitely embellished, so they literally shimmer and gleam. For Zenith, in particular, the clever arrangement of the beading flatters the female figure to perfection! I felt a million dollars wearing the gown, and was greeted to gasps and sighs from my guests as I entered the room.

I purchased the gown from Bridal Rogue Gallery in Marylebone, London, in February 2017, to wear for the evening reception of my wedding in October 2017. I wore it for only 3 hours on the evening of my wedding, as I wore a different dress for the ceremony and day reception. The evening reception was held in a 5 star hotel, it was all held indoors, and all the floors were carpeted, so the dress is in immaculate, pristine condition.

I paid £2,175 to purchase the gown and an additional £500 for alterations, primarily to lower the back of the gown, which gave it a much more flattering and eye-catching look. I also added secret hooks to keep underwear in place and hooks and buttons on both layers to bustle the gown for dancing. I had it taken up at the shoulder and hemmed at 175cm to the floor (i.e. I am 163cm tall and wore 12cm heels). The gown would fit a UK size 8-10.

I couldn’t have felt more glamorous wearing the gown and, in fact, many guests commented that they much preferred it to my day gown! I hope it can make another bride feel as special on her big day. Please be in touch if you have any questions.
