The Dress

Ethereal “Dorothy” long sleeves illusion bateau neckline lace embroidered sheath gown featuring a silk crepe skirt and flowing chiffon side skirt from Zuhair Murad’s Spring 2018 Wedding Collection.

Size 42 European altered to fit my body shape (size 6 AU) and a few extra flowers strategically placed around bust area which was a bit see-through.

The dress is a DREAM to wear (you won’t regret it).

MY MEASUREMENTS:

Bust 34

Waist 26

Hips 36

Arms length 16.5

Top arm. 11 (the biggest part of the arm)

Skirt length 42.5 (without shoes)

Bottom of dress drags along the floor so dress definitely needs a dry clean before using.

The dress was purchased on 4 November 2017 (for my wedding 23 December 2017) from Bloomfeld Amsterdam for €8,098 (€7,670 per price listed on Bloomfeld’s website plus 6% Dutch tax).This converts to:

Not to mention flying to Amsterdam to collect the dress and business flights to SYD to ensure the dress doesn’t get squashed!

In addition, I had alterations done in Sydney for A$750 from a Sydney based Bridal Alterations House.

The dress is the current SS18 season - only released late October 2017 and I was one of the first brides to wear the dress globally according to Bloomfeld. I was was told by Bloomfeld that the wait on the dress is typically 6 months so any bride interested can get the dress immediately without a wait.
