The Dress

My beautiful wedding dress can be worn in two styles, which I felt was perfect for having a different look between the day and evening.
The dress is actually a strapless gown (picture included of this), but had a separate jacket which added the bardot neckline and 3/4 length sleeve, which I wore over the top.
The jacket was made in the same lace and with the same buttons at the back, making the whole thing look like one dress when worn together.
Having the jacket meant I felt comfortable and more covered for the day, and I also love a bardot neckline, but then I could take it down to a strapless dress in the evening to be cooler.

I also had a custom made diamante belt which does up at the back with hidden poppers, so can be worn or removed from the dress depending on preference. I think it really completes the dress and hugs it at the smallest part to emphasise waistline.

Also included is my veil which is by Elizabeth Dickens, and the style is Katie.

I also wore the dress with a petitcoat, just to add more volume and bring the length of the dress up slightly without having to have it altered, and this is included also, but doesn't need to be worn if you don't feel you need the extra volume.

The dress is a tulle fabric, but as you can see from the photos, also has lots of lace.

I had alternations made to the bust as I ended up losing weight in this area. But rather than make too many alterations to the gown itself, the seamstress added chicken fillets to the dress, I am told these can be easily removed if needed but they act as a great hidden support.

Lastly, this dress is labelled a 16, but I am usually a 12/14 and this fitted perfectly. The lady that made the alterations to my dress said it could have gone a good 2 sizes up or down without effecting the look of the dress, so is very flexible.

My dress has just been worn the once and is in great condition. I absolutely loved wearing it and really hope it is loved and worn again on someones special day.

I had some padding put into the bust as I'm quite busty and it meant I didn't need a bra.
