The Dress

Stunning, classic Alan Hannah dress from his Mia Mia collection.

This beautiful satin ivory dress has one shoulder strap with an oversized bow (don't be put off, I'm not a bow person at all but it really works on this dress). It has delicate ruching on the bust area.

The dress is fitted through the waist and hips and has the most wonderful fish-tail that makes you look very elegant. I got compared to a Greek goddess!

The train of the dress is fairly short which is ideal for people getting married outdoors, as I did. It can be can be gathered up into a bustle, as shown in the picture of me dancing!

Size

The dress is size 12, but I would say that it comes up fairly small so would fit a size 10 to 12.
The bodice of the dress has a set of internal hook and eye fastenings that give you the option of three different settings which is ideal for last minute weight loss! This is then secured with a zip.

Alterations

I didn't alter the length of the dress. I'm 5ft 6 and wore three inch platform heels which were a great way to get height without killing your feet! I did have two darts made in the bodice of the dress as I lost some last minute weight. These could easily be undone to restore the dress to its original size.

Condition

I've had the dress professionally dry-cleaned and it comes in its own zipped carry sleeve.

The dress looks as new and I will be really sad to see it go as I had such a wonderful day in it. I hope it can make someone else feel as special as I did.
