The Dress

If you are dreaming of a light, extremely flattering, romantic dress that stands apart from the crowd, then this is the dress for you.

I was a little anti 'bridal' when I began my search and have never looked great in white or cream. We were to be married at a farm during a hot time of year and I wanted something gorgeous but that I would feel comfortable in and move around in, easily.
From the moment I saw Gwendolynn's 'Deco' dress, I knew I had found my match.

The Deco is one of the extremely talented Gwendolynne's most stunning creations. It includes her signature style featuring beading and Art Deco influences, while still remaining soft and ethereal in silhouette. The gown features a combination of pure silk, crepe satin and poly tulle falling from the bodice and is made in Melbourne, Australia.

To add a little soft flare, Gwendolynne customised my skirted area with a soft crimped tulle layer, which was extremely flattering and stopped me from fussing over any lumps or bumps in that area. She also matched my skin with a dusty champagne colour which is extremely flattering and made it feel a little less traditional.

The dress includes beautiful capped sleeves and detailed hand beading across the front and back with a stunning low, key hole back. The back features a vintage inspired clasp designed by Gwendolynne positioned at neck to create a soft and elegant line.
Silk Buttons adorn the lower back and a gorgeous satin ribbon acts as a belt from the sides, tying at the back, making everything feel secure and look flowy.

The gown also has a modest train that can be bustled up underneath to allow for ease of movement during your reception.

Overlay: soft tulle; Main/base: matte satin crepe; Lining: silk with 5% elastane; Detail: hand beading of Italian glass/plastic beads and embroidery; Trims: Art Deco back neck clasp.

This stunning dress is light and flowing and very low on fuss. It's a standard size 8 and bust size 32 B. Would suit an A or B cup as I included 3 bra pads into the design and these can be removed for a larger bust. I did not wear a bra.
I am 5ft4in in height (165cm) - I wore heels that were about 3.5inches on the day. The gown was professionally dry cleaned within days of the wedding and it looks like new.
