The Dress

This dress is actually a bodice and skirt. The square cut bodice with flowing sleeves has a medieval look which is very romantic. While the detailing is very simple, it has a timeless design. It was very comfortable and it felt very beautiful to wear. The sleeves are made of a flowing slightly see through fabric (don't know this kind chiffon??). The bodice is fitted (see the picture) and has a cross cross stiching with little beads sewn in. The skirt is made of flowing material similar to the sleeves (but obviously not see through!!). The skirt sits straight but actually flares gently outwards. It has a a bit of a train which was shortened a bit from the original.

I have quite wide shoulders and the dress was altertered to allow for this - so could be adjusted for smaller shoulders. My bust is not big and I had a bra fitted inside the bodice (which can easily be removed) to improve the look of the fit. The dress was obviously dry cleaned immediately after the wedding and for all these years it has been stored in a special wedding dress box. So the dress is really as good as new.

There are some dirty marks on the back of the train on bottom of the dress but these are barely visible.
