The Dress

I had my heart set on the Jayde gown after visiting LOHO Bride in San Francisco in early 2016 even though my wedding wasn't until July 2017. The dress is absolutely breathtaking and unique - I felt glamorous in it and received many compliments throughout the night.

This style was released towards the end of 2014 with beautiful french lace, a flattering deep V-neckline and open back. The rich lace/nude underlay is tastefully designed and elegant. The Jayde gown in her current collection is quite different - a more casual look without the magnificent train.

I purchased a Commando nude slip ($100) that was professionally sewn onto the dress for a seamless look. There is a single button bustle and a wrist loop - making dancing much easier at the end of the night. I'm 5'3 and wore 3" heels with the dress. The dress was only worn once for the wedding reception/photos and has been fully dry-cleaned.

There are a few small spots on the train that could not be removed due to the delicate nature of the fabric but they are hardly noticeable.

Alterations

Added the commando slip, shortened shoulder straps, took in the sides, hemmed the front of the dress, added a bustle and a hand loop.
