The Dress

Gorgeous Berta gown from the S/S 2016 collection. My wedding was in June, so I had the dress altered to make the sleeves detachable. I wore the sleeves during my ceremony in church and then removed them at my reception. My guests thought I did a dress change! The dress is in great condition. It's been cleaned and is ready to be worn again for another beautiful bride!

The dress is a size 40 European but I did have it taken in because I lost weight before my wedding. I am typically a size US 4/6. I paid $11,465 including tax on the gown. I purchased it from Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills. Only worn one time.

I spent $1k in alterations to make the dress very fitted. I also added bustling to EACH layer, so that when I did bustle it, it looked uniform with each layer. I also made the sleeves detachable which was a very long & hard process. But I was so incredibly pleased with the way the dress was altered!

Missing a couple faux buttons on back of gown. Can be replaced easily.
