The Dress

This gorgeous Allure ivory wedding dress was worn by me on my forever day in the beautiful & picturesque winelands of Cape Town, South Africa. It was bought at a gorgeous boutique bridal store in south west London.

The gown cost £1890 new, has been worn for one day only, is in PRESTINE condition and has been professionally dry-cleaned and hand-finished by a specialist dry cleaner so it's ready to wear (the train will require a normal steam as it is currently stored away so the tulle is slightly creased).

The gown's main features:

– Mermaid style gown with a bodice that is topped with delicate lace Applique and heavily embellished with crystals & beading, followed by a mermaid train of English tulle with button detailing all the way down the back of the bodice. It is figure fitting with a low back and is perfect for anyone who wants to feel like a Goddess on their wedding day and it packs lots of sparkle too!
– It is extremely flattering on your figure and makes you feel like a million bucks! Believe me, it’s true!
– Embellished with crystals, beads & embroidery, the detail is so magnificent and intricate you just can’t take your eyes off the gown.
– Travels well – my wedding was in South Africa and other than airing the dress (normal treatment anyway) & a light steam around the train area, it didn't crease in transit at all!
– I am petite (with a slightly bigger bust) so the dress was bought in US size 6.
– The dress has been professionally dry cleaned by a bridal gown specialist and is in perfect condition - it honestly looks as good as the day I bought it! When it went to the cleaner, there was a little dirt around the hemline which is nowhere to be seen now - it is now absolutely sparkling clean.

Alterations

Two alterations: a small tuck around the inner bodice (chest area - I usually wear a size UK 8 but wanted the top half to be tighter around the bust to prevent it from falling or from having to pull it up all the time) and some length was also removed during the alteration process. Given that the train is tulle, extra length can easily be added. The dress can easily be taken in/out by a seamstress as required.
