The Dress

Beautiful soft pink/apricot beaded french lace gown by Brisbane designer Jennifer Gifford. Latte coloured silk short length, bias cut slip also included to be worn underneath, as the dress is sheer. No longer in production, so you know you have something unique!

The gown has capped sleeves, a v neckline, and is high cut at the bottom half, into a v-shape at the front. Note- my dress was custom made to not be as revealing as the dress featured on the model. The back of the dress has a small train.

I am generally a size 8-10, and quite full in the bust. The slip sat fairly short (above the knee) on me (I am 171cm tall).

This was such a comfortable dress to wear on the day- easy to walk and dance in! The photos don't quite do the colour/detail of the lace justice. It's so lovely and shimmery in the flesh. The colour is really unique, and was definitely the talking point of my Wedding.

I had the dress altered by a reputable tailor before the wedding as I had lost some weight.

The dress has been professionally dry cleaned and there are no visible stains or tears.

Please note that the hem of the dress is raw cut, not hemmed. This does give it a slightly thread bare appearance up close, and it will shed a few little beads here and there. I was told to expect this as normal, as it's just the nature of the fabric. On the plus side this means it can be easily cut by hand further to suit a shorter bride :)

Alterations

Taken in slightly
