The Dress

This was the Maggie Sottero style "Emma" dress in pale gold. The beading is stunning in person! I'm 5'3" tall and wore this with 4 inch heels so would fit a bride in flats up to 5'7" tall. I ordered the "petite" length vs standard so I didn't have to chop off a foot when I received the dress and it was the perfect length.

The dress and belt with alterations were $1719 from Edith's Bridal in Fond Du Lac, WI plus I paid over $100 to get the dress dry cleaned after the wedding. I have original receipts at home from the bridal shop.

I had a custom made matching shoulder length blusher veil in gold that I wore for 1 hour for the ceremony. I had earrings and a necklace made in blush pink, ivory and gold. I had a custom made hair comb that matched too. The belt around the dress has gold crystals and a blush pink flower and can be removed. The necklace,earrings, veil & comb were $104. I'll include them all with the dress if you want them as they match perfectly!

I added bra cups to bust line to add 1 bust size but can easily be removed. (Took my 33" bust from A to B cup). It fit my 28" waist perfectly. The hips were let out about 1 inch so hip area fits my 38.5 hips fine and probably would be around a size 6 in street clothes. I had the extra satin trimmed off the train so it was just the lace for the train and added in bustle hooks plus added 3 loops of fabric hidden under train that you slip around your wrist so you can pose for photos.

The wedding was very low key and I wore the dress for only 6 hours total. It is too beautiful to sit in my closet so I'd love for another bride to make her dreams come true!
