The Dress

They say you just know when you find ‘the dress’ of your dreams. The moment I tried on this dress at the Anna Campbell boutique I cried – it was just perfect. It is vintage, yet modern, romantic, jewelled and truly unique.

The dress was custom made for me as part of Anna Campbell’s made to measure collection. The label reads XS and I am usually AU size 8 however the beauty of the way Anna Campbell gowns are designed is they can fit a variety of shapes and sizes. The gown has elastic at the back and ties up around the waist so could fit a size 6-10 (possibly even a 12). The bust is lightly padded for a flattering shape, however I wore a low back strapless bra on the day for added support.

The bodice and slightly capped shoulders are embellished with hand sewn pearls, beads and Swarovski crystals giving it the most beautiful sparkle. The dress is just as stunning from behind with the slightly V shaped back, gorgeous bow and long flowing silk train. The train can be pinned up at the back for dancing with ease!

The skirt has three layers of silk in the colour ‘oyster’. It has been professionally hand dry cleaned by Anna Campbell’s recommended dry cleaner – Syndal’s Bridal Drycleaners and a certificate of cleaning comes with the dress. The dress comes in the original Anna Campbell bag.

Due to the delicate nature of silk there are a couple of small pulls around the hemline of the train. These are not noticeable unless viewed up close. If you really were concerned the dress could be re-hemmed. Happy to provide photos if requested.
