The Dress

Beautiful Caroline DeVillo Elizabeth fluted silk dupioni dress purchased from the Nordstrom Wedding Suite in 2014 and worn to my wedding - I loved how light it felt! Dupioni silk (light ivory), incredibly light, strapless with a slight sweetheart neckline, A-line fluted skirt, buttons (decor) down the back, added a 1-inch belt made with the same material of the dress (affixed to dress). I have the original receipt.

Shortened the top of the dress by less than one inch (from top to waist), shortened the length of the dress, which measures 38 inches from the waist seam to the floor, a 1 inch belt made from the fabric (removed from the shortening of the skirt) and added to the dress, and a bra-strap was added on the interior (to keep a strapless bra in place). Extra buttons are available with the dress. A note about the belt - when added to the dress, sewn on by seamstress to permit movement (see pics 4-5-6). Post event - Dress professionally cleaned after the event (three days after event by Ultimate Dry Cleaners (Racine & Wrightwood)). The bottom hem (in back) is slightly frayed and the buttons closest to the hem are not pristine. I have extra buttons. Stored in a smoke free, pet-free, fragrance free home.
