The Dress

My husband and I got married in Scottsdale, Arizona on March 11, 2017. I purchased the dress in Fargo North Dakota from a friends bridal boutique back in 2016 when the line of gowns had just come out. I absolutely fell in love with this dress on the hanger and when I tried it on. The front of the dress is V-neck and sheer which makes this dress very classy. I loved that the sheer went over my chest but you were still able to see through it. Kind of seductive, if you will! There is lace applique's that lay over the sheer just near the collar bones. Very timeless! The back of the dress is deep V (I wanted something that showed my entire back). Near the bottom of the V are buttons that go down about 5 inches to secure the closing of the dress. These buttons are hidden with overlaying tulle and lace so you cannot tell it has buttons. The fabric of the entire gown is mostly tulle and lace. There are 4-5 layers of tulle in the skirt portion - all of which are different shades of ivory, white and champagne. The first layer (on the inside) is silk) I think the skirt is what sold me. It is not heavy at all but has a lot of material to make it look effortless and beautiful. To bustle the dress, I had the tailor add tiny hooks to the bottom and middle of the skirt as well as loops where the skirt meets the back of the corset. These are entirely hidden and even stay in place when bustled to dance! The bustle goes underneath the tulle skirt instead of over the skirt so you are still able to see the beautiful lay of the skirt after bustling. This gown is also very breathable. I was able to hug and bend over the entire night with no pressure or scarcity that it would break and rip. That being said, there are no rips, tears or breaks in any of the buttons, top or skirt. After the wedding, my mother took it back to get dry cleaned and stored properly because we were going on our honeymoon straight from Arizona. The dress was on cobblestone streets for pictures and fake grass for the ceremony so no dirt is seen on the dress!

Alternations include the adding of the hooks and loops for the bustle of the dress. There is a birdcage veil that I can include for an additional price if interested. It is custom made and made with extra tulle from the dress!
