The Dress

Formal Dress Description: A stunning ruched taffeta wedding dress from the Ronald Joyce 2010 collection, style Livia 61016, featuring jewelled beading around the neckline to create empire-line styling. The bodice is tightly fitted into the waist and across the hip and then eases into an A-Line. The taffeta layer gives way to layers of beaded tulle. Roses decorate one side and an optional single strap with roses can be attached at the shoulder. The back closes with a ribbon and loop corset for a perfect fit. The tulle layer sweeps into a chapel train at the rear.

The colour of the dress is ivory with pearls, diamontes and crystals on the neckline creating a beautiful frame for the stunning bride. The gorgeous detailing of the neckline follows round the back creating more interest. The tulle is simply stunning laced with sequins that really sparkle making you feel truley special, which can be seen from all angles. The dress is made from taffeta which is light to wear all day (something I consider to be a main selling point of the stunning dress having experienced my own wedding day).

The original size of the dress was 14. I was a UK 10-12. I then lost weight and became a true UK 10 so the dress was fitted for that size. I am 5ft 3 but wore big heels on the day so I was approximately 5ft 5 on the day in heels. Therefore, it could be altered for a smaller lady or it would be ok for a taller lady in a smaller heel. I had the neckline changed into a more definite 'sweetheart' neckline, which you can see in the photos. I felt it created a softer frame for the bride making it more unique as well.

It comes with detachable roses to create a modern and stylish one shoulder effect. And the loop and button fitted bodice creates a flattering silhouette. The dress unfortunately has some holes in the tulle, which are difficult to see due to the many layers of the tulle and the fact the tulle is so fine. I would contest anyone that said their dress was not damaged in any way if they have worn if for their wedding. I like to be honest and have enclosed a picture of the type of small damage. The rest of the dress is as new. All the diamontes, pearls and crystals are intact and the taffeta bodice is immacualate. Definately a dress to view!!

I have had it professionally cleaned by Johnsons Cleaners who are specialists with wedding dresses. Also for the lucky buyer I will include for free the underskirt required to create the shape (£75 to buy) and a beutiful and delicate cathedral length veil(brand new and not worn, in immaculate condition. The dress is from a pet and smoke free home.
