The Dress

This was my DREAM wedding dress! I really felt like a bride and loved the unique design of this dress with its babydoll fit and dramatic layers and subtle horsehair infinity signs around each layer. The bottom layer of the dress is a beige color, which gives it an ombre effect. The tulle of the dress is not your typical tulle - it has a softer to the touch and more romantic feel. While the dress has many layers, it still provides your body with shape given how fitted the top is with a low back.

The dress has a zipper closure and internal belt to keep the dress from falling. It was very comfortable to wear, and even though there were many layers, it has a lightweight feel. I was able to dance and get down!

This is from Monique Lhullier's Bliss Collection. Our wedding was January 30, 2016 and the dress was made in 2015 and I was the first person to ever purchase this style (trunk show at Nordstrom Bridal Suite). I recently had the dress professionally cleaned and is now in pristine condition.

This dress made me so happy on the best night on my life, and very excited for someone else to enjoy it as much as I did!

The bust of the dress was made larger when the dress was made as I am a 34D. The dress was also altered to fit my body type which I am between a size 4 and 6, so would fit either body type well. The dress had a bustle added during alterations as well as a loop hole for a strapless bra if needed. The dress was shortened slightly as I'm 5'4 - this was a pricey alteration given that the alteration had to be done at the top of the skirt portion given the horsehair design at the bottom of each layer.
