Caroline Takvorian, Moss

The Moss dress by French designer Caroline Takvorian is made from exquisite Calais lace and paired with a beautiful silk crepe a-line skirt which features a handy bustle (a great help for dancing!) I purchased Moss from the lovely team at The Mews Bridal in London (4th photo shows the dress in the boutique prior to being fitted to my measurements)

I kept the light puffed style on the shoulders and the deep V in the front of the dress, but both features could be altered if preferred. I have also seen this dress with a front slit, so this could also be added if you wanted to customise the dress further.

The skirt is very flowy, romantic and luxurious and offers a comfortable and relaxed fit. This could be taken in further at the waist if you wanted a more fitted finish. The dress was probably a little too long for me (even after alterations!) so there is plenty of fabric if you are taller, or if you want to shorten the dress further.

I have had the dress professionally dry cleaned by a wedding dress specialist. There are a couple of very light marks around the hem area of the dress, which are only visible up close. These could easily be removed by altering the hem ever so slightly, but due to the flowy style of the skirt, they are pretty much obscured. I’m happy to share the photos I received from the cleaning company.

I paired the dress with 2 inch heels (Kurt Geiger Aria shoes in bone) and I am 5’ 3.5 in height without heels
