Freda Bennet, Lyric

Freda Bennet designer gown (Lyric) made from beautiful Mikado satin. A-line full skirted, with small train that fixes up for the evening.
Boat-neck design, but with a very distinctive opening at the front, to the cleavage. can be worn modestly, or to accentuate the cleavage (depending on underwear chosen!).
Detachable chiffon bell sleeves, with a deep cuff and five covered buttons. The dress can be worn with or without sleeves, which can be sewn in fully, or can be tacked in for easy removal for a different look in the evening (this was my choice as shown in the last photo, for the evening reception I teamed with a black taffeta waist band and long satin gloves both in black for Hollywood glamour)
Fitted empire line bodice (with boning), covered buttons down the entire back of the dress from neck to the end of the train (on the outside of a zip fastening).
The designer's size is what they term 'standard size' which was probably akin to a UK size 14, which I had taken in at the bodice, so it is likely between a size 12 and size 14. APPROXIMATE measurements (around outside of the dress: waist 28/29 inches, bust 35/36 inches. Length from under the bust to the hem at front is 49 inches/124cm.
Very comfortable to wear, with the 'wow' factor of a full shape given by underskirts and light netting, and a totally different look from day to evening by detaching the sleeves.
I am happy to include the birdcage fascinator which features two simple satin leaves to match the dress material, if this is desired.
Dress was professionally cleaned immediately after the wedding in November 2025 by a specialist wedding dress dry-cleaner via the Bridal Rogue Designer Gallery where the dress was purchased (though there were no apparent stains visible in any case, and it is like new), and is packed with acid-free tissue and comes in the designer's dress bag.
