From the designer herself: "Silk wool twill square neckline gown with external boning at the bodice. Silk linen organza bubbled skirt with hand-cut Lyon, Chantilly, and corded lace applique. Invisible zip closure at center back."

On wearability: In my opinion, this is the perfect wedding dress. The silhouette is so flattering with a corset-like bodice that cinches you in and the fluffy cloud of a skirt sprinkled with intricate floral details. As much as it is a gown that, for example, requires some hiking up to walk down stairs, it was shockingly easy to wear. I never felt overly impeded while wearing it, to the point that I almost did away with my rehearsal dress change.

On alterations: When I ordered the dress, my chest was larger, and I was probably around 15lbs heavier. Thus, at the time my stylist suggested I order a size 10 and have the lovely people at Danielle Frankel open up the cup, so my chest wouldn't appear "smooshed" by the bodice. When I recieved the dress, I had the chest taken in a bit (lol), as well as the waist and the straps shortened slightly. The hem was also very slightly shortened. The bustle that my seamstress added is amazing and user-friendly.

On condition: I wore the dress for around 6 hours on my wedding day. I then had it professionally cleaned by Elegance Preserved. The inside of the hem had a couple of stubborn spots that wouldn't come out of the fabric, but they wouldn't be visible unless someone was rummaging around down there and looking really closely. The exterior of the dress is pristine.
