The Dress

This Jane Hill inspired wedding dress was an absolute dream on my wedding day. Made by Sydney-based dressmaker Almira Cecilia, it is incredibly comfortable, yet fitted and flattering. It hugs in all the right places but is easy to move around in so that you can enjoy your wedding day without having to fiddle with straps and zippers.

I'm petite at 155cm and had a hard time trying to find a dress that was simple, elegant and fitted in the right places. Almira did a brilliant job pulling everything together. I couldn't have been happier with this dress and would love for someone else to enjoy it as much as I did.

There is a train and bustle, and a zipper at the back which has been fitted with beautiful ivory buttons.

My measurements are:
Waist: 25 inches
Bust: 33 inches
Hips: 31 inches

There are built in bra cups in this dress, but I also wore chicken fillets on the day for a bit of extra boost. I'm an A cup, but this would easily fit up to a C cup. The dress can be taken in, and it would easily fit someone who's a bit larger as there's a bit of flex in the fabric. I wore a slimming skirt on underneath which worked really well.

I wore very high heels when I was wearing this dress, but the length was a little long for me - it would work for anyone who's a bit taller.

Only worn once for about 5 hours, and professionally dry cleaned. Will also throw in the headpiece which was designed with the dress, for free.
