Justin Alexander Estelle Wedding Dress – Ivory

The Estelle dress by Justin Alexander is a strapless A-line gown made from structured ivory Mikado. The fabric holds its shape beautifully while still moving easily, giving the dress an elegant but relaxed feel.

It is extremely flattering at the waist — the bodice cinches in nicely and then flows smoothly over the hips into a full skirt. The skirt has a lovely weight to it and was very comfortable to wear, as well as genuinely fun to dance in.

I had the top slightly altered to reduce the bust, as I have a smaller chest than the original size. However I did wear a padded bra as I did not fill out the cups fully. This made the bodice feel secure and flattering, while the rest of the dress was left unchanged. It skims over the hips rather than clinging. The dress also has bustle points in place, making it easy to lift the train for the evening.

For reference, the dress is a UK 14 label size and was worn by someone who typically wears a UK 12. My measurements are 94cm bust, 78cm waist, and 108cm hips, and I am 180cm tall with shoes. The waist and hips were left largely as original, which gives the dress a forgiving, flattering fit through the lower body.
