This dress was the most beautiful dress I could have gotten married in, but I just don’t want to store it. It’s so beautiful and deserves to be worn again.
Some photos show the dress bustled. The train on this dress extends about 3 feet. The last couple photos are from my alteration appointment before the front of the dress was hemmed.
The top features off the shoulder sheer sleeves with flower-covered solid bust and a see-through corset lace center. The back buttons at the top and zips up the bottom. I had extra clasps added to keep the dress closed.
The bottom is six layers (all hemmed with 24 bustle buttons and loops added to the bottom 3 layers). The inner layer that touches your skin is a soft silk/polyester (easy to steam if you want, I did). The second layer is poofy toile that gives the dress its volume (I spent hours steaming this whole layer—you can’t even tell when it’s on, so I wouldn’t bother). The third layer is the same solid white silk/polyester (this is the base layer that I’d start steaming). The fourth layer is glittery tool, then the top two layers are connected thin layers of toile with the flower details. With all of the layers, the dress is a bit on the heavier side, but I never put the sleeves over my shoulders and it never was at risk of falling.
I did not sweat in this dress and barely danced in it. I had two dresses and changed out before the party. The bottom did get a bit dirty just from lightly touching the ground, but I have since washed the bottom.
