Elegant Silk Strapless A-line Amsale gown. Main fabric is Amsale Ivory Silk Duchesse with Champagne Silk Taffeta Tie/Bustle. The train is between a chapel and a court (view pictures). Worn on June 25, 2005; professionally cleaned and preserved by the bridal salon immediately after the wedding. The gown was kept in its preserved state until October 11, 2025 for purposes of resale. It may be 20 years old but it is just as beautiful today as it was when I purchased it.
My story: In 2004, at age 49, I had found a second chance at love. My intent was to purchase a beautiful white dress, not a traditional wedding gown, but friends encouraged me to go further. The moment I tried this gorgeous gown on I felt instantly transformed! I never expected that day to find a dress that would make me feel like a princess, younger than my years. The elegant style, combined with my tiara and necklace choices, was likely the reason a few guests told me I reminded them of Princess Diana. The dress was worth every penny, as pricey as it was in 2004.
It has been kept in a 2nd level bedroom closet from a smoke free, pet free home. I have the original receipt. I placed a newspaper on a photo of the gown in the box so you can see that it was kept preserved until a few days before I listed it on this site.
