Custom Silk Wedding Dress – Danielle Frankel-Inspired

This custom-made ivory silk gown is inspired by the “Charlie” dress by designer Danielle Frankel. It features a timeless boat neckline, sleeveless silhouette, and bias-cut body with a subtle diagonal seam that flatters the figure beautifully. The back is the real showstopper—a low-cut cowl back, softly draped and sewn in on one side, with discreet press studs on the other for easy access to the hidden centre zip.

Flowing silk panels cascade from the shoulders, giving the effect of a soft neck scarf from behind—romantic and unique in all the right ways.

Low back custom-shaped to work perfectly with the Skims low-back bodysuit—with hidden loops and press studs under the shoulders to keep the dress securely in place (no slipping off shoulder or shapewear struggles).
Professionally dry cleaned at Syndal’s Bridal Dry Cleaners (Melbourne’s best).
Some minor discolouration on the hem remaining (visible only at close range); could be resolved by hemming just a few centimetres. (Height guide: I am around 172cm tall and wore a 5.3cm heel.)
Flowing silk panels are sewn into the shoulders and lightly secured mid-way down the back with a small stitch (one side may need a quick repair) – this helps the fabric drape beautifully without flying up too high.
