The Dress

This is a very unique dress. It's actually two separate pieces. The inside piece is a beautiful champagne satin A-line slip dress with thin straps. The back is plunging. The outer piece or overlay is ivory tulle with pearls and crystal beading. It glimmered in the evening. It has a beautiful illusion back with crystal buttons. The dress is very lightweight and the outer piece blew beautifully in the breeze. I am 5' 11" tall so this would be perfect for the tall bride. Because there are no special details on the bottom of the dress, it could easily be made shorter without changing the look of the dress. I can't tell you the number of compliments I received, even from complete strangers at our venue.

Breast cups were added to the satin slip dress as it is not possible to wear a bra with this dress.
When purchased, the dress did have a short train. Though my seamstress tried to create a bustle for dancing, it would have completely spoiled the look of the dress. We decided to cut it off and I'm so glad we did.
