About the Dress

If you're torn between chic modern style and classic bridal tradition, you won't have to think twice about this gown! Style 7198 from Stella York starts it all off with a sheer organza bodice, cut into a strapless sweetheart neckline with sheer illusion straps. This allows the fresh organic-inspired floral appliques to create a floating tattoo effect along the shoulders that is simply breathtaking. A deep plunging neckline narrows toward the waist and is also masked for illusion tulle for additional coverage. The delicate florals continue to shower over the semi-sheer bodice and onto the waistline of the full Dove satin skirt, adding both dimension and texture to this grand silhouette. And of course, we can't forget the pocket feature! Finished with a rounded train and smooth hemline, this gown creates a subtle contrast throughout that is clean and fashion-forward. I purchased this gown in December of 2023, and as pictured in my try-on photos, I was intending on altering the dress to cover the plunge and add sleeves. This brand new dress with no alterations will include 2 yards of ivory fabric to line the bodice, if desired, and 1 yard of matching lace that I was going to use to cover the plunge, but could be used for a fun matching bridal project!
