The Paola gown by Lola Varma is a chic minimalist bridal gown, hand crafted from 100% silk. Featuring a delicate yet statement neckline, low statement back and a barely there train, Paola is an effortless and elegant dress.

The dress comes in two parts: The Vincent slip in 100% heavy silk drapes beautifully on the body, giving a flattering silhouette. The slip does not have a train and comes just to the floor in heels. The silk chiffon overlay has a high sculptural neck, small train and beautiful low back. They can be worn together, or with the slip by itself.

Both the slip and the overlay are size AU 10, but I had the slip altered to be closer to a size UK 8. I had the hem taken up slightly on the slip and the straps shortened a tiny bit to raise the neckline slightly.
The chiffon has not been altered at all as it drapes over the dress underneath it and sort of matches the shape, so I did not feel it needed to be altered. I wore the dress quite loose and flowy as pictured, so it is very comfortable while still flattering. The measurements I entered are my own body measurements, not the dresses, so there’s definitely room for further alterations if needed to fit you perfectly. I still have the original tags and garment bag. My wedding was in May 2025 and I loved the dress so much, I would love for it to find a good home and make another bride feel beautiful on their big day. I had it dry-cleaned professionally and there are no tears or stains - it's in absolutely perfect condition as I changed into a mini dress for the dancing part of the night.
