About the Dress

Purchased from the very reputable and well known boutique called Castle Couture located in Manalapan, New Jersey. People looking for a luxury gown from Philadelphia to NYC come to this store. This dress was one of the most unique dresses they had - offering a style that is stunning and difficult to come across of.

This exquisite Castle Couture dress, model SS-10150, holds a special place in my heart and is now ready for another bride to enjoy. Designed with the elegant A-Line silhouette, it beautifully complements any figure and gracefully flows to the floor. The stunning square neckline and long sleeves add a touch of sophistication, while the mid-back design brings the perfect balance of allure and modesty.

The ivory fabric is adorned with delicate 3D flowers and feathers, intricate beading, and exquisite embroidery, ensuring every detail is a true work of art. This unique dress features intricate beading in the top half, with gathered tulle sleeves with pearls. The bottom half also includes a beautiful beading pattern with 3D appliques that are made from both tulle and feathers. The back is a combination of zipper and buttons. It zips all the way until the very top where it becomes buttons. However, the whole back is lined with pearl buttons to give to give a beautiful buttoned illusion. The dress also has hooks in the back for when you would like to pin the train up later in the evening in order to dance.

I love the subtle shimmer of the pearls and beading that catch the light just right, transforming the dress into something ethereal. One of my favorite features is the hidden pockets, which are perfect for storing little essentials while feeling effortlessly chic.

I have large hips, but despite that, the size they ordered for me was based on the bodice - where I measure a size 4. Your hip measurement does not matter for this dress.

Alterations

The top part was altered by a seamstress at Castle Couture to change it from a sleeveless v-neck to a square neck with sheer sleeves, as well as having a higher back, since I needed it more conservative. I actually believe alterations to take this off should be fairly easy since it was a build-up. It was also slightly shortened - I am 5'8" and was wearing 3" heels.
