The Dress

I purchased this dress and it ended up being too small in the shoulders and hips for me. I am so bummed because I love the dress. I hope someone else can use it. It is perfect for someone petite. Below is the description of the dress from the girl I purchased it from.

I had this dress custom made in Atlanta at a couture bridal shop. I brought in many photos of dresses that I liked, and we worked to use a combination of those features that would best suit my petite frame. The largest inspiration was the Inbal Dror Ribbon Pocket Dress. This is NOT a replica of this dress - I wanted something a little more conservative than the Inbal Dror design, and also changed features to best suit my body type. If you're petite, this dress should fit you beautifully. For reference, I'm 5' 1" (but I did wear 4.5" heels with the gown), and my measurements are as follows:

bust: 32"
waist: 26"
hips: 36" (37.5 lower hip)

The dressmaker assured me that bringing the dress in (making it smaller) in any areas would be fairly simple, so anyone this size or smaller would be best suited for this dress.

I paid $2,000 for this dress. The dress was worn for less than 1 hour, as I changed into a short dress (Charleston in August was quite hot!) immediately following the ceremony. The dress does have a bustle, and has been professionally cleaned. I'm happy to answer specific questions or show any particular details in photos that you'd like to see.
