About the Dress

Think Kim Kassas Couture is out of your budget? NOT TODAY, BABE! SHE'S ALL YOURS!

This is the Melisandre dress from the exclusive, ultra luxe designer Kim Kassas Couture. Kim Kassas is having a moment including dressing women at the most recent Met gala! They are known for their unreal corsetry that flatters every woman.

This gown is from the 2025 Dracarys collection which I have only seen at a few bridal salons in the US. I ordered it custom fitted from a trunk show at Kinsley Couture Bridal. The dress has the amazing drop waist vibe that is trending right now, a fitted corset, and incredible fresh water pearls perfectly dangling from the bodice. The bottom is made from at least seven panels of luxurious tulle that is just transparent enough to let light shine through in a gorgeous way without exposing your legs or underwear. But, just for for fun, there are openings in the front where you can let a leg (or both) out!

As noted, the dress was ordered in custom sizing. For reference, I am 5 foot 6 inches, weighed about 125 lbs and was a size 2-4 (2 on top, 4 on bottom). I wear a 32B-C cup top and am wider at the hips/butt. So this would look super gorgeous on someone with a little bit of curves. The back has a laced back corset. The part of the lacing that actually controls the size actually gets hidden underneath the zipper by design. Since it has the corset, it could definitely fit someone with a bigger bust.

The dress is in perfect condition except for two really small (pictured above) tears in the tulle bottom where my husband accidentally stepped on it, but you cannot notice it at all given that the tulle panels have so many layers (I really had to search for them to take the pictures).

The dress is so intricate that the hemming and pressing cost $2,710. I may have been overcharged, but I'd recommend even if you're thinking about ordering from the designer, take that into consideration :) This would also save you appx. $1,200 on tax.

If you'd like, I'll also include the Toni Federici Dance Veil that I purchased for $216 but didn't end up wearing because it was windy for no additional charge.

I have not had it cleaned but I'm not sure it actually needs it unless you're grossed out by resale. I wore a different outfit for cocktail hour/dinner/reception so the dress stayed very clean.

Happy to arrange a try on if you're a bay area local!
