About the Dress

Selling my custom made Cinq inspired wedding dress, never worn. Ended up stumbling across a 90s dress on Vinted, fell in love with it, and am now selling this on with the hopes someone else can enjoy it! Worth reading full description.

This dress was crafted by the wonderful Caribis atelier. I designed it myself, taking inspiration from many Cinq gowns, most obviously the trailing pointed train. Top layers are pure silk, including the off shoulder pieces. Inside and structure is made from a gorgeous, high quality satin.

Reason for £500 discount is due to me removing two bones from the front of the corset, for my own comfort. In photos you can see how it looks from the front - no way to tell, only visible from the inside. All other boning still in place. Would be very simple to slip new bones back in but honestly felt they were unnecessary in the front. Your call!

The hem of the dress (top layer of the skirt) is without a hem. We did this on purpose to achieve a romantic, undone look, that I thought was gorgeous. If you’re concerned about snagging or threads coming loose, would be straightforward to add a hem around should you wish. Bear in mind there is already some threading loose at the hem.

I’m 5’9”, UK size 12, 34C cup. The bodice obviously has a lot of room to give as it can be tightened or loosened to fit. What’s important is the waistband, where the skirt starts, fits - my waist is 30 inches and it zips perfectly. I’d say if your waist is over 31 it’s not going to zip comfortably. Smaller however and the corset holds the skirt up regardless so you’ll be comfortable. The skirt drags on the floor for me barefoot. Would take a 3 inch heel for it to skim the floor. Gives lots of room to work with for hemming.

The scarf is not included - I’m keeping this for my wedding day, but they’re all over Etsy for cheap.
