About the Dress

Real Made With Love designer Winter model dress.

Purchased in 2024. Dress itself worn for around 12 hours.

Label size AUS 14 but was taken in approx two sizes.

Measurements it was altered to are:
- Bust 82cm / 32in
- Waist 72cm / 28in
- Hips 97cm / 38in
- Length of dress 143cm / 56in (in 3.5in heels on the day)
The train is an additional approx 100cm / 39in from where the dress meets the floor and could also be shortened.

For reference I'm 5ft 10in when not in heels and a size 10 UK.

Beautiful fitted dress with slight flare at the bottom.

Lovely comfortable crepe material. Slightly stretchy so allows you to move, eat and drink easily. Also means could stretch to fit someone slightly bigger in addition to any adjustments you choose to make. Very robust material not flimsy/delicate.

The dress is ivory so not a pure white, which personally I found much more flattering to my skin tone.

Additional alteration features and need to know:
- the dress has an outwards bustle feature which I had added to make it easier to move around during the evening,
- the dress came with detachable long sleeves which attach via a little clasp on each sleeve. These are included. I wore these for the ceremony and first photos,
- I had made additional little off the shoulder sleeves which attach by elasticated buttons to allow for extra movement for the dinner and evening reception, these are also included. With the sleeve options it essentially means the dress can be worn 3 ways (long sleeves, little sleeves, strapless). One of the elasticated bands just needs to be secured back on,
- the dress is missing 3 little buttons from the back, these are visual only and do not impact the function of the dress, they would be easily sourced and replaced by a seamstress,
- the dress comes with sewn in cups so a bra doesn't need to be worn,
- the dress has some very slight discolouration at the very bottom from being worn in fields for our photos. My mum soaked the dress in the bath and hand washed it after the wedding so it is clean. However it would benefit from a proper dry clean which should remove this. I haven't done this myself as I figured if buying a used dress, the bride would want to clean it again anyway! Alternatively, this would be removed if the dress was taken up.

Comes with the Made With Love pearl veil on a comb fitting, worth £346 alone, which was only worn for a couple of hours and is the original floor length (about 6 feet long). I imagine a seamstress could also shorten this.

Alterations

Was fitted to my body, would fit a UK size 10 as is but could be altered. I'm 5ft 10 so there's is plenty of length to be taken up still. Customisations made to sleeve options. Full details in description.
