About the Dress

Mark Ingram Wave Dress

Purchased in NYC From Mark Ingram Bridal and altered with Mark Ingram. Worn for my wedding in September, 2024 for roughly 6 hours. Dry-cleaned in NYC immediately after at Cameo Cleaners and is in the dry-cleaning plastic wrap with a dry-cleaning receipt (happy to provide pictures to prove current state).

Details:
- Dress is a Mikado fabric strapless ball gown (thick silk-like with sheen) with origami ruffles, crumb catcher neckline, and wave ruffle ball gown skirt with a chapel length long train
- Since it's a ballgown, hip measurements don't really matter for this dress. The skirt billows out after the waist corset piece, and therefore hip measurements could be a wide range of measurements.
- The second to last image shows the dress bustled. It is a French bustle (so the skirt gets tucked underneath). My alterations specialist created ties to bustle the dress that live underneath the skirts and are labeled (1,2,3,4 etc. and A,B,C,D etc.) so that you know which ties go together.
- My alterations specialist cut the tulle-like fabric underneath - it is not noticeable at all when worn or hanging, but you can see the cuts if you search and pull the skirt up all the way. Again, it's never seen or noticeable, the dress was simply made with too much fabric on the end, so she cut them while I was getting fitted. Please see the last photo for this! Again, has no bearing on the dress.
- The dress buttons down the back, but there is also a zipper to keep you snug. Inside, there is also an invisible belt with multiple notches to make tighter around the bust/waist (also does not have to be used).
- You can use a steamer on the ruffles/waves of the dress' skirt to make them poof out more or opposite, to make them closer to the body with less volume.
- I am a very small A-cup, and think this dress is probably best suited for an A/B. Bust has the extra fabric as shown.
- I wore flats with this dress and I am 5'7. The dress was floor-length.

Altered length to make shorter so I wasn't tripping over it, and had waist taken in.
