About the Dress

A beautiful and elegant wrap style gown, freshly dry cleaned, in a bag. It has lovely draping and flowiness without being bulky. I bought this dress second hand (bought new by original owner) and wore it once for about 8 hours. It is in excellent condition apart from a faint stain - see photos.

Alterations

The dress was originally size 20 (street size 16 AU) and was altered at the sides and rear seams to bring bodice in to fit a street size 12. The point of the V-shaped back now joins between the shoulder blades, and a new zipper was fitted. The shoulders were nipped in at the top seam to remove gaping at the bust. The dress has a built in bust/boning structure which was not altered. My bust did not fill out the dress but this was not noticeable as the bust has its own shape/structure. A wrist ribbon was added to the inner lining that can be fed through a small hole in the mid-train and used to hold it up. This created a lovely draping of the gown rather than the underlining being exposed by the conventional method of pinning up the train at the back.
