About the Dress

This stunning (and versatile) Madi Lane dress, known as James, is the epitome of timeless elegance.

Comprised of a floor-length sheath gown, off-shoulder sweetheart bodice with pleated crossover detail, pleated band straps and V back, she beautifully contours every curve.

She's giving wow factor too! The detachable, A-line overskirt (also included) adds a whole new dimension to this gown. Whether you're looking for extra drama and flair as you walk the aisle, or movement and flow for your first dance, the overskirt delivers.

The joy is that you can have it both ways, whatever suits you at different points in the day. In my opinion, this means no second dress needed - it's an outfit change all in one!

Worn only once at my wedding in June last year and then dry cleaned, the gown is ready to go, and comes with the dress bags (one for the gown and another for the overskirt).

As I prepare to pass this beauty on to another bride, I hope it brings as much joy and magic to your special day as it did to mine.

Alterations

The dress was made to order in a UK Size 10 per Madi Lane's sizing chart. Minimal alterations were made to slightly take in the waist (1cm or so), and slightly take in the bust. It's as close to the original size as you can probably get!

The only addition made was a button added to the back to bustle up the dress if wanted. Please note that the one piece of thread used to hook onto the button came loose, but I'd suggest this is probably a £15 fix with a reputable tailor. I'll gladly provide a photo upon request, but didn't want to waste a whole photo slot on what is truly a teeeeny detail (and not an original feature in any case).
