About the Dress

This was my DREAM dress! It is absolutely stunning. I purchased it from a lovely seller on Still White. Unfortunately, we have had to cancel our wedding event due to a medical emergency in 2025. I have only tried the dress on 1x and it remains in the beautiful preservation box.

Here are my notes for the initial seller:
"This is a stunning Monique Lhuillier wedding dress part of the Platinum Collection. Retailed at $13,500. The ballgown silhouette is magnificent; you will absolutely feel like princess when you put it on. The corset is structured and fitted, it emphasized the bust and slims the waist with the contrasting full skirt. There is a lot of material for the skirt and a decent (but not overwhelming) train. The style and material of the skirt actually made traveling with it convenient as it did not need to be steamed." Personally, I can second this statement. When it came out of the preservation box, it was perfect.

Original seller (and I) wear a street size 4-6. The style of the dress is forgiving. Personally, I needed a ballgown to cover up an emergency endo-related surgery postop body and it was perfect. During my initial recovery, I fluctuated on my bottom half quite a bit so switched my mind to a ballgown, falling in love with this breathtaking dress. The original seller had cups sewn into the bust but can be adjusted to your preference. Please NOTE: Personally, I felt the bust was closer a 33-34" (which I have measured with a fabric tape measure), which makes sense because I am a solid 34" and it was about an inch snug. However, the original listing was marked as a 35" bust. With that said, the very kind initial seller and I discussed flexibility with the top. It does have some flexibility because it hits at the natural waist and skirt is full. My plan was to do a deeper back V to give me that extra inch but I never got that far. NONE of the skit has been taken out. The original seller was able to creatively hem it up to 5'4" with 2-3" heels. At full length, best guess, is it could fit someone 6' with shoes. Keep in mind, I am 5ft1 and LOVED the fullness and length of it. The dress has only been worn indoors. Additionally, it has been professionally cleaned and is in great condition. Again, I only tried it on one time. Note from original seller: "Note that with even the best professional wedding gown cleaning some of the material that was lightly sewn on may come a little loose (ex., at the label)." The great thing about this dress are the fabulous ruffles, so it is very hard to tell and can always be touched up by your seamstress. I, personally, was not planning to because it was just perfect to me.
