The Dress

Handmade french lace, swarovski crystals and pearls embellish this intricate, well structured, elegant Leah da Gloria couture wedding gown. With a sweetheart neckline, off the shoulder lace accents and sheer illusion tulle across the chest and shoulders, she sits beautifully on the body. There is a huge amount of structural boning and corsetry that lifts the boobs and cinches the waist. The dress then flows from the waist into a full skirt followed by a three meter train with a scalloped lace hem. What makes this dress stand out from the crowd is the ingenious and very fashion forward cape tulle and lace sleeves - it's like having a delicate veil on each arm - simply stunning and a fresh take on the classic long sleeve. I found the sleeves gave me lots of freedom and the dress beautiful movement the whole day.

Couture seldom comes in anything above a size 8-10, so this masterpiece really is one in a million. I certainly couldn't find anything having searched for more than 18 months! I was somewhere between a size 14 and 16. Could be easily altered to fit between a size 12- 18.

The dress was only worn once (obviously!) and was professionally dry cleaned by the number one couture dry cleaners in Australia: Syndals, Melbourne. Any little blemish was removed, leaving the dress in as new condition.
