The Dress

From the JENNY PACKHAM 2016 COLLECTION. Inspired by A Mid Summer Nights Dream, the Portia Dress is an elegant floor length gown for the modern bride. In true Jenny Packham style; Portia is feminine with beautifully floaty sleeves. The deep v at the back is sophisticated and sexy whilst the smaller v at the front works perfectly.

The signature style of metallics, beading detail and embellishment gives a starlet look with just the right amount of sparkle to add a touch of elegance.

The dress is figure hugging and the silk underlay gives a relaxed feel to the dress.

I am 5'4" (164cm) and bought a size 12UK, however I am a size 10 (Australia).

The only alteration is to the length of the silk underlay which has been shortened to approx 5'5".

A small loop has been added by the dressmaker at the back to hook the shift up. It is a very discrete fisheye hook when the dress is down, but very practical for walking and dancing.

I have inspected the dress thoroughly and there is no visible defect however due to the delicate nature of the beading there may be a small number of beads/sequins missing or loose.

The dress has been meticulously cleaned and stored in an aired cupboard on a padded coat hanger in the original Jenny Packham travel bag.
