The Dress

This gown is absolutely stunning in person! It is an Oleg Cassini, purchased from David's Bridal in late 2006/early 2007 for a Spring 2008 wedding. The relationship didn't work out, and the gown has remained wrapped in a clean, white cotton sheet, in its garment bag, hanging in a closet at my parent's house since that time. (Neither my parents nor I smoke, so the gown still smells like dryer sheets). The gown itself is ivory, with beautiful champagne, light pink, dark pink, lilac, periwinkle and sage green stitching in a floral pattern. There are also tiny crystals embroidered onto the gown throughout the embroidered pattern. The gown's train is meant to fan out behind the bride during the ceremony, and can be brought up to match the hem of the rest of the gown for the reception, which creates a beautiful effect. The gown has never been worn and has never been altered. The gown comes in two pieces, which look almost seamless when put together.

I am including the tiara, which matches the champagne and crystals in the gown beautifully. I am also including the cathedral length veil and the shorter veil. The shorter veil has some small bits of floral embroidery on it as well. The overall effect when the entire thing is assembled is quite impressive.

Gown will come wrapped in the white cotton sheet for protection, and its own garment bag.

It really is a tragedy that no-one has ever worn this gown, and I am hoping that someone with a spring wedding planned will love this gown as much as I did and would make it all her own!
