This is a truly special piece from one of Carolina Herrera’s final bridal collections (retailing for £8,650), purchased new in 2023 from The Wedding Club in South Kensington, London.

The bodice band, originally designed with a twist, was professionally adjusted so it now lies flat and straight for a cleaner silhouette. At the back, the band sweeps into an asymmetrical bow, creating an elegant, architectural detail.

It also has an exposed crystal embellished corset that cascades down the back. These intricate embellishments are ever so slightly visible from the side profile, which adds a bit of interest to an otherwise classic dress with timeless appeal.

Made from silk faille, the dramatic skirt moves beautifully as there are about 10 layers of light tulle underneath giving it weight and shape. There is a strong internal corset that cinches in at the waist. Also, it has pockets!

Worn only for my ceremony (changed into a second dress for the reception) and professionally dry cleaned.
